1.
How much weight can it handle?
- apponwall is a concrete hook.
- Suitable for lighter items.
- For heavier items, drill and screw as usual.
- We have tested apponwall in concrete, wood and plaster (more information below).
- No tests have been done other materials as bricks etc. apponwall is not suitable for those walls.

Concrete:
When three (or four) pins are nailed into the concrete wall the pins are deformed as a claw grip. That is why it is so good. Two pins do not work nearly as well. (Source: The old betongkrokens patent from 1960. Inventor Orjan Ekstrom, Sweden).
We have tested apponwall at SP (Swedens Technical institute). The picture hook held for 15 kg before it came loose. With weight on the tip of the mounting pin it came loose at 5-10 kg. We don´t want the hooks to fall down in our costumers homes. We say, therefore, that it keeps for about 3-5 kg.
Use apponwall for common pictures and lighter items. If you shall hang grandmother's antique mirror or mount your flat screen tv - drill instead.

Wood:
The pins go straight in to the wood. They sit ok but is only suitable for light paintings and objects. We say, therefore, that it keeps for about 1 kg.
Use apponwall for common pictures and lighter items. If you shall hang grandmother's antique mirror or mount your flat screen tv - drill instead.

Plaster board:
The pins go straight in to the plaster board. We say, therefore, that it keeps for about 0,25 kg.
Use apponwall for common pictures and lighter items. If you shall hang grandmother's antique mirror or mount your flat screen tv - drill instead.
2.
Why is apponwall's picture hook better than the old concrete hook?

Flat surface
The old concrete hooks hook is in the way when hammering. It is easy to accidentally hammer on the hook instead of the nail next to the hook. This leads to that the hook breaks or the nail doesn´t enter the wall so it is in the way when you shall hang your picture.
apponwall’s picture hook is flat. You can hammer on all the nails without anything is in the way. The hook is pointing up and can´t break when you hammer. It is easy to hang pictures with both wire and small hangers.

No blue thumbs
The old concrete hook is difficult to hold and it is easy to smash your fingers when hammering. apponwall's picture hook is held with an open hand so your fingers are out of the way.

Horizontal and vertical
It is easy to put pictures in a row both horizontal and vertical.Draw lines with a waterpass and see the lines in the notch on the sides and at the bottom. Or put dots on the wall and seer the dots in the big hole in the middle of the picture hook.

Instead of drilling
Previously, there was no other option than to drill. It is now possible with apponwall's picture hook and accessories (applicators).

Objects with holes
Previously you had to have a drill, plug and screw.
Now, you use apponwall's picture hooks and mounting pins. Instruction below.

Objects with keyhole
Previously you had to have a drill, plug and screw.
Now, you use apponwall's picture hooks and keyhole pins. Instruction below.

3. Where is apponwall made?
In Sweden, more specifically in Hökerum in southern Sweden. The assembly and packing takes place in Stockholm.
Patented
The patent of apponwall was approved 2015-01-07.
Facts and dimensions (mm)

The hook is pointing upwards. It makes it easier to hang pictures with wire or a small hanger.

Level the picture hook by drawing a cross on the wall. Look for the cross in the notches on the sides and the bottom of the picture hook and in the big hole in the middle.
The picture hook can be mounted in any direction.

The mounting pin is used for objects with holes that normally is fastened with screws.

The keyhole pin is used for objects with a keyhole mount that normally is hung on a screw that is sticking out from the wall.

Mounting:
Hold the applicatior in front of the round part of the picture hook. Turn it in any direction until it clicks on to the picture hook. The center of the applicator is now in the center of in the picture hook.
Suitable for both right and left handed.

If it is difficult to rotate the applicator with your fingers, you can tap with a hammer.

The applicator can be secured in all directions.

Picture hook and applicator is 7 mm together. If the object has to be in level can two furniture pads can be mounted at the back of the object.

Remove the applicator by turning it 90 degrees. If it is stiff using your fingers, use a flat screwdriver in the gap both up and down by pressing the applicator to the right or left.

Remove the picture hook from the wall by pressing a flat screwdriver in the gap under the picture hook and break it loose from the wall. Protect the wall with a piece of cardboard.
